Management of Ghana Water Limited (GWL) in the Volta Region has commenced a region-wide customer migration exercise aimed at improving service delivery, strengthening operational efficiency, and ensuring accurate customer records.
In a statement signed by the Regional Chief Manager, Emmanuel Johnson, said the exercise seeks to update and validate customer data, enhance arrears recovery, and facilitate the smooth integration of customers onto newly laid pipeline networks in selected communities.
Affected customers are required to visit their respective district offices to complete customer migration forms, make the necessary payments for reconnection to the new pipelines, and obtain official receipts for all transactions.
Management stressed that reconnection would only be carried out after submitted forms had been verified and approved, and all required payments made.
The communities affected by the exercise include Ho East – Godokpoe, Dave Cemetery Area, Fulanikope, Dabra, Executive Gardens, Fiave, Market Area, Kokompe, Magreen Hotel Area, Anyama, and Tritrinu.
In Ho West, the affected areas are Sokode Gborgame, Sokode Abotia Road, Rome, Abattoir, Mirage–UHAS, Horsita, Powerhouse, Sokode Etoe Roundabout, and Area 52.
Other affected communities are Kpando – Gabi and Dafor; Juapong – Medical City; Hohoe – selected areas within Hohoe Township; Keta – Hospital Area; and Dayi – Peki.
The GWL appealed to customers in the affected areas to cooperate fully with the exercise to ensure timely reconnection and uninterrupted access to safe and reliable water supply.
Management also expressed appreciation to the public for their patience and understanding as the company continues to work to improve water service delivery across the Volta Region.
