The New Patriotic Party (NPP) presidential primaries are underway in various constituencies across the country, with five candidates racing to secure the flagbearer position ahead of the 2028 general elections.
The candidates include former Assin Central MP, Kennedy Agyapong, former Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, former Education Minister Dr Yaw Osei Adutwum, former Agri Minister Dr Bryan Acheampong and former General Secretary of the party Kwabena Agyapong.
The election is expected to see over 200,000 delegates voting across 276 constituencies nationwide to elect the NPP's flagbearer to the lead the party into the 2028 general elections.
