The campaign team of aspirant Baba Jamal Mohammed Ahmed has offered 32-inch televisions to delegates taking part in the ongoing National Democratic Congress (NDC) parliamentary primary in the Ayawaso East Constituency.
The team also distributed boiled eggs to delegates, a move that triggered brief jostling among some voters who attempted to access the food items.

The contenders are Mohammed Ramme, the NDC Constituency Chairman; Amina Adam, widow of the late Member of Parliament; Baba Jamal Mohammed Ahmed, Ghana’s High Commissioner to Nigeria; Yakubu Azindow; and Najib Mohammed.
Reacting to the development, Baba Jamal said the items were presented as gifts and insisted he did not expect them to influence the choices of delegates.
"Sharing the TVs is only a gift, but allowing that gift to influence your votes is what is wrong," he told journalists.
