The management of the War Memorial Hospital in Navrongo has announced plans to conduct a mass burial for unidentified and unclaimed bodies, currently held at the facility’s morgue.
Dr Abra ham Titigah, the Hospital’s Medical Superintendent, said in a press release that there were currently five unidentified bodies occupying space in the mortuary.
“Management wishes to notify the public that from Friday, 27th March 2026, uncollected bodies will be disposed of appropriately by the facility,” the statement read.
The hospital administration is urging members of the public who have missing relatives to visit the mortuary for identification as soon as possible.
