The Asamoah Gyan Foundation will be commissioning a Water Pump House project in Wenchi on Saturday.
The water pump project estimated at $50,000 is one of four to be constructed by the foundation in Ghana.
The Asamoah Gyan Foundation took over the revamping and expansion of the water pump project in Wenchi last year after its collapse for over a decade now.
The pump house was one of two originally constructed in the Busia era to stream water into the main reservoir to supply the Wenchi township.
Its collapse thus led to a water rationing system in the area – a situation which will be completely eliminated with the return of the revamped and extended Water Pump House Project.

The commissioning on Saturday will officially be done by the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE),Dauda Hakibu alongside the Queen Mother of Wenchi Nana Ntoa Samandua.
They will be supported by father and brother of Asamoah Gyan, George Gyan Baffour Mensah and Baffour Gyan respectively and Chief Executive of the Asamoah Gyan Foundation Samuel Anim Addo.
Three other areas in the Northern, Eastern and Volta Region have been identified for such intervention to be undertaken by the Asmaoah Gyan Foundation.
