The Professionals for Boakye Agyarko (Profs4Agyarko) have congratulated the newly elected Regional Executives of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) across all 16 regions of Ghana, describing their election as a significant step towards strengthening the party’s internal democracy and organisational structures.
In a statement signed by the group’s Convener and Leader, Baladuah I.P. Dimah, Profs4Agyarko said the election of the new regional executives reflected the confidence and trust party members had placed in their leadership.
“Your victory reflects the confidence, trust, and shared vision our party members repose in your leadership to steer the Great Elephant Party toward greater strength and organisational vigour,” the statement said.
The group said the successful conclusion of the regional elections represented an important milestone in consolidating internal democracy within the NPP.
It urged the newly elected executives to see their positions as a responsibility to serve the party and its members, rather than simply as positions of authority.
“To the newly elected executives, leadership is a call to service a mandate to foster unity, deepen party cohesion, and build an inclusive structure where every patriot’s voice is valued,” it said.
The group expressed confidence that the new executives would perform their duties with integrity, humility, and a strong commitment to the principles and traditions of the NPP.
“We trust that you will execute your duties with integrity, humility, and unwavering commitment to the core traditions and values of the New Patriotic Party,” it added.
Call for unity among aspirants
Profs4Agyarko also commended all the aspirants who contested the regional elections, recognising their participation as an important contribution to the party’s democratic process.
“We also commend all fellow aspirants who contested in these elections. Your passion, fortitude, and dedication have enriched our internal democratic process,” the group said.
It called on all candidates and their supporters to unite behind the party following the conclusion of the elections, stressing that the NPP should emerge from the contest as one cohesive political family.
“In the true Danquah-Dombo-Busia spirit, there are no victors or vanquished only one united NPP family,” the statement said.
Constituency executives and delegates praised
The organisation also expressed its appreciation to constituency executives and delegates across the country for what it described as their orderly and disciplined participation in the elections.
“Crucially, we express our profound gratitude to all constituency executives and delegates across the country. Your exemplary conduct, decorum, and orderly discipline throughout the voting process demonstrated the political maturity and resilience of our rank and file,” Profs4Agyarko said.
According to the group, the peaceful conduct of delegates throughout the voting process reaffirmed the NPP’s commitment to constitutional democracy.
“By upholding peace and order at every voting centre, you have once again proven that the NPP remains a beacon of constitutional democracy in Ghana,” the statement added.
Profs4Agyarko pledges support ahead of 2028
With the regional elections concluded, Profs4Agyarko said attention must now turn towards strengthening the party’s structures and preparing for the political challenges ahead.
The group said it remained ready to work with the newly elected regional officers and constituency structures to advance the interests of the NPP and contribute to its preparations for the 2028 general elections.
“As we look to the tasks ahead, Profs4Agyarko remain committed to working hand-in-hand with all elected regional officers and constituency structures to advance the cause of our party and secure a prosperous future for Ghana come 2028,” the statement said.
The organisation concluded by reiterating its congratulations to the newly elected executives and expressing its continued commitment to the NPP.
