Over 700 residents of Sang in the Mion district of the Northern Region have been rendered homeless following a rainstorm that hit the area on Wednesday night.
Property worth millions of Ghana cedis have also been destroyed due to the torrential rains, reports Northern Region correspondent, Hashmin Mohammed.

Officials of the National Disaster Management Organization (NADMO) are yet to receive relief items from their headquarters in Accra, leaving residents stranded and helpless.
Hashmin Mohammed says some of the affected residents are currently living with friends and relatives in nearby towns.
