John Mahama needs your support to sort out the power crisis that's hit Ghana, says a popular boxer.
Braimah Kamoko, known in boxing circles as Bukom Banku, has predicted a clear win for Mahama in the upcoming 2016 elections even with the population reeling from 'dumsor'.
On a two-minute video where he speaks in pidgin, the boxer who is widely known as a supporter of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) gave his take on the power situation.
"Don’t blame Mahama for ‘dumsor dumsor’ has been in existence since [ex-President] Nkrumah’s time as well as [ex-Presidents] J.A Kuffour and the late Atta Mills."
"John Mahama will solve the power crises. Why [are] people insulting him?"
He went on: "The energy crisis is not his fault. People should stop the foolishness."
The boxer goes on to predict the next elections.
"This will not affect Mahama in 2016 he will win the elections, people should pray for him because he is good for us," Banku said in the video.
Banku, who is undefeated, asked Ghanaians to rally behind the head of state - "Shut up and pray for the president!" - to end the crises.
