CAL Bank Limited, official headline sponsor for the Ghana Beach Soccer Association has presented a sponsorship package of US$40,000.00 to the Ghana Black Sharks; the National Beach Soccer Team.
This is full payment for their participation in the Africa Beach Soccer Tournament being held in Seychelles from April 15, 2015.
The Black Sharks of Ghana made history by qualifying for their first ever AFCON beach soccer competition by beating the Sand Cranes of Uganda 13-2 on Sunday, 22nd March 2015 in Accra.
In presenting the sponsorship package, the Managing Director of CAL Bank, Mr. Frank Adu, reassured the Executives of GBSA and the National Team players of the Bank’s continuous support for the activities of beach soccer.
Mr. Frank Adu, further encouraged the players saying, “You can only achieve greatness when you dig deep within and purpose your mind to be successful. I believe in this team and I know that you will make Ghana and CAL Bank proud.”
Over the last four years, CAL Bank has invested over US$200,000.00 in beach soccer in Ghana. In addition, the Bank will further support beach soccer with the requisite facilities to develop the sport.
On his part, the President of GBSA, Mr. Yaw Ampofo Ankrah thanked CAL Bank for the continuous support and pledged that the team and management will work to deliver the needed success at the AFCON in Seychelles.
