Ex Hearts of Oak skipper, Jacob Nettey has confidently disclosed that there is no way Hearts can qualify to the money zone of the 2015 CAF Confederation Cup after drawn against Tunisian giants Esperance.
This will is a repeat of the 2000 CAF Champions' League final when the Phobians defeated Esperance 2-1 in Tunisia before defeating them 3-1 in Accra to win the title.
Jacob Nettey who together with stars like Ishmael Addo, Emmanuel Osei Kufuor and Sammy Agyei won the trophy believes the current team is not good enough to upset the former African Champions.
“Esperance are going to beat Hearts home and away because if you watch our league now Hearts are not performing and even reaching this stage of the competition is by luck,” he told Joy Sports
“I’m not against Hearts but that is the truth, since when did Hearts win the Ghana league, how can such a team score Experance? Please let us just be sincere with ourselves.
“If you compare Hearts and Esperance now, the Tunisian side is far ahead of the Phobians.”
Hearts will have home advantage in the decisive second leg after the first leg in Tunis on the weekend of 15-17 May.
