MTN Ghana in support of the coming ECOWAS Day celebrations on the 28th of May, 2015 has announced that it is offering its valued subscribers a 50% discount on all outbound calls to destinations within the Economic Community of West Africa States (ECOWAS).
The 50% discount on intra-community calls is in compliance with the ECOWAS Resolution calling for special tariff reduction on ECOWAS Day.
ECOWAS Day is celebrated annually on the 28th of May to mark the establishment of the Economic Community of West African States and also to commemorate key achievements particularly in the areas of economic integration and security since its establishment.
Speaking on the discount of tariffs on all outbound intra-community calls, the acting Corporative Services Executive of MTN Ghana, Samuel Koranteng said, MTN Ghana recognizes the role communication plays in ensuring integration, in this vein MTN willingly complied with the ECOWAS resolution so as to help in deepening the role information communication technologies play in realizing the goals of the Community.
ICT tools do not only enhance integration but have come to serve as catalysts for rapid socio-economic development,he added.
MTN Ghana joins ECOWAS in celebrating ECOWAS Day and takes the opportunity to congratulate the governments and the people of the Economic Community of West African States on this Day!
Let’s remember that on ECOWAS day we can enjoy 50% discount on all outbound calls to destinations within ECOWAS on Ghana’s largest telecommunications network, MTN.
