Businesses and individuals living in and around the busy hubs of Accra Newtown and Ho municipality can now be guaranteed world-class banking services with the opening of two new Access Bank branches in the communities.
Acclaimed as the Bank of the Year (2013) due to its exceptional customer focus, financial performance and remarkable growth, Access Bank Ghana continues to deepen its financial inclusion agenda across the country with strategic branch expansion.
The Newtown branch is expected to cater for the needs of communities such as Kokomlemle, Malamata Market, Pig farm and surrounding areas. On the other hand, the Ho branch will serve customers in and around communities such as Agotime Kpetoe, Amejokpe and Esikuma.
Both branches offer the Bank’s full range of business and retail banking products including flexible savings and current account options, bills payment services, e-banking, card services as well as domestic and international money transfer through Western Union, Moneygram, Ria and Cross border.
Commenting on the launch of the two new branches, Group Head for Personal Banking at Access Bank Ghana, Mr. Stephen Abban, noted:
“We set up these new branches in response to our customers request and to bring our services closer to them. It is also consistent with our strategy of making banking services accessible to the underserved and unbanked. Our customers are guaranteed a memorable banking experience with our modern architecture and exceptional customer service”.
Mr. Abban further revealed that Access Bank will be rolling out additional branches this year in line with its intelligent expansion program the country.
“By end of 2015, we shall have presence in all the 10 regions of Ghana with new forays in Bolgatanga and Wa, as well as additional branches in Dansoman, Haatso and other locations”, he concluded.
The addition of the Newtown and Ho branches brings the Bank’s total network to forty-three (43) business locations across the country. Since launching its banking operations in Ghana in 2009, Access Bank has increased its presence to cater for its growing market share, especially in retail banking.
The Bank recently launched its unique approach to banking women, known as “W”, which is an industry first bouquet of business and lifestyle products and services for young women professionals, women with family and women in business.
