The Municipal Chief Executive for The MCE for Ga West says a Member of Parliament has apologized after the MP's men manhandled him for demolishing his fuel station.
The MCE, Sam Atuquaye Quaye, told Joy News, the MP had visited him and “shown remorse” for the actions of his men.
Sam Quaye said the MP has also promised to “follow the law” and also help “remove debris” after the Monday morning's demolition exercise.
The MP has been cited building a fuel filling station without permit and on waterways.

“I stood my grounds, I knew what I was doing. I knew I was doing the right thing”, the MCE explained on Joy News.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Environment, Science and Technology says it has begun a nationwide demolition of fuel stations built without permits and those whose owners have violated the terms set out in the permits.
The minister, Mahama Ayariga, said this while touring locations of some fuel stations in Accra. The Minister, followed by journalists, found stations surrounded by banks, restaurants, ATMs in contravention of the regulations of the building of fuel stations.
At a particular location, a cylinder manufacturing company was sharing a wall with a fuel station.
The minister also decried the situation where some fuel stations had added kitchens to the buildings with a set up for selling Kheba and guinea fowls.
The minister explained that it is basic regulations for sources of fire not to be cited close to fuel stations.
