Ghana’s number one entertainment station, Hitz FM on Monday brought smiles to the faces of victims of last Wednesday’s floods that caused havoc in some parts of Accra.
The downpour submerged several parts of the capital with the Kwame Nkrumah Circle, Avenor, Kaneshie, Adabraka, Mallam Junction being the worst hit.
There was also an explosion at the Goil filling station at the Kwame Nkrumah Circle leading to the death of more than 100 people.
Staff of Hitz FM, led by the station’s Programs Coordinator, Mark Okraku Mantey, with the support of Sky Falls mineral water distributed over one hundred bags of water to victims affected by the floods and fire.
Some of the people who were affected by the floods told Hitz FM after the donation that they are grateful to be beneficiaries of the station’s kind gesture.
They thanked the station for the donation and pleaded for the general public to emulate the gesture and come to their aid as they try to put their lives back together.
