HR Focus Magazine, the first and only Human Resource magazine, published by L’aine Services Limited, has launched the HR Conference and Excellence Awards in Accra.
This makes it the 4th HR Conference and the 2nd HR Excellence Awards to date.
With HR Focus Magazine championing the development of HR practice in Ghana, the main objective of this event is to identify, recognize and honors organisations that have built up the tradition of best practices in human resource management.
Speaking to the media on the upcoming event, Dr. Mrs. Ellen Hagan, Chief Executive of L’AINE Services Limited, said, “as we reflect on some of the important trends that affect businesses, HR professionals must ensure that there is an effective organisational design, a well defined space for achievement and recognition and a clear basis for both personal and career development, hence, the need to constantly update themselves and get rewarded in areas where they have excelled.”
She added that in the current economic downturn in Ghana, HR professionals had the arduous responsibility of ensuring that they maximize returns on investing in their people, thus, the theme for the HR Conference and Excellence Awards 2015; “Creating People Advantage; A Must for HR.”
The Editor-in-Chief of the HR Focus Magazine, Mr. David Attricki, expressed his excitement about the event and called on companies to send in their nominations within two weeks to be considered for any of the awards.
“There are ten categories for the awards; they include Best Organisation in Learning and Development Practice, Best Organisation in Employee Relation Practice, Best Organisation in Rewards Management Practice, Best Organisation in Performance Management, Best Organisation in Recruitment and Selection, Overall Best Organisation in HR Practice, Best Organisation in Organisational Culture, Best Practice in HR Information System, HR Practitioner of the Year, and Employer of Choice Award,” he said.
Mr. Attricki further explained that the Employer of Choice Award is strictly by public votes and therefore invited the general public to send in their votes. He also asked the public to visit the event’s website, www.hrconferencegh.com for more details.
The HR Conference and Excellence Awards 2015, which will comprise a L’AINE HR Forum together with a Career Development session, an exhibition and an awards night, is slated to take place at the La Palm Royal Beach Hotel from 2nd to 3rd October, 2015.
