The 17 year old Junior High School student who was paralyzed after his teacher forced him to pluck coconut fruit to quench his thirst has died.
Richard Djamgba developed several complications due to his family's inability to raise funds for a surgical operation.
In January this year, myjoyonline.com reported the sad story of the JHS one student of the Suhum Aboabo Sonkor Presbyterian Basic School who was sent by his science teacher only known as Sir Johnson to pluck him fresh coconut fruit.
The incident happened in October last year.
His uncle, Samuel Narh who confirmed his death to Joy News said the family could not raise GHc3600 to treat his medical condition.
“He passed away Saturday night. We delayed; the delay in surgery brought this sorrow. Right now we are mourning; everybody is confused about the death of the child. Our surgery money wasn’t sufficient so we couldn’t do it and he passed away. They were demanding 3,600 Ghana cedis.”
