The Deputy Minister of Trade and Industry Hon. John Gyetuah has called on Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) to bridge the gap between industry and academia in order to enhance development.
Mr Gyetuah said this at a forum held in Accra by the African Knowledge Transfer Partnership (AKTP) on the theme “Successes of Knowledge Transfer Partnerships in Ghana”.
Mr Gyetuah also said that the Ministry of Trade and Industry is committed to ensuring that adequate support is rendered to improve partnership between private sector organizations and higher education as well as research institutions.
The Deputy Minister has also urged Ghanaians to embrace the challenges of improving locally made products through innovations and better use of scientific knowledge and
technology to achieve high productivity, quality and competitiveness on the international market.
