Samuel Inkoom has joined the long list of personalities paying glowing tribute to Stephen Appiah as the former Black Stars captain prepares to take a bow from the game.
Appiah will forever be remembered as the captain to first lead the Black Stars to a senior World Cup.
During his tenure, the captain is widely said to have demonstrated a high standard of leadership.
Inkoom, who joined the Black Stars in the final years of Appiah’s reign, is full of praise for the captain.
‘’Appiah has done wonderful for this nation and I think we all have benefitted in one way or the other from him,’” Inkoom said
“His is a unique person who helped me when I first went to the Black Stars.”
But Inkoom is gutted that he cannot make the testimonial due to his preseason commitments with his new Portuguese club, Boavista.
‘”It’s rather unfortunate that the very day the game would be played I would have to report for preseason that day but me and my godfather.”
