England reached the Women's World Cup semi-finals for the first time after beating hosts Canada 2-1 in Vancouver.
Two quick, early strikes gave England an advantage, with Jodie Taylor slotting home after Lauren Sesselmann's error, followed by Lucy Bronze's looping header.
Katie Chapman could have added a third with a nod-on of Fara Williams's free kick, but she hit the bar. Then Christine Sinclair brought her team back into it just before half-time, with Karen Bardsley spilling the ball at her feet and allowing her to tap home.
England lost Bardsley shortly after half-time with an eye injury, and Siobhan Chamberlain got the opportunity to play her first minutes of the tournament. She and her defence were under a lot of pressure throughout the second half, but they held on to take England into the last four.
