Did you know that Godwin Attram is a set piece expert in the country and will capitalize on all opportunities to ensure his side avoid relegation this season.
The skipper made these comments after his expertly converted free kick fetched all three points for the Wonder Club against Liberty Professionals. Now, Attram is looking for more of those chances.
“It is very important to score this kind of goal because it is a very important game and I have always been telling the boys to create this kind of infringement for me,” Attram told reporters in the post-match conference.
“I am very special in this country for shooting. They were able to create this chance and I executed it.”
The former Ghana international went on to allay fans fears of relegation as he strongly believes his side will survive their present predicament.
“The fans should be rest assured because we already promised them. The playing body and management has promised them they should forget about relegation.”
The goal was Attram’s first for the Wonder Club since he returned from a 19-year stint abroad where he featured for teams such as PSV Eindhoven, Stade Tunisien and Al-Shabab.
