Hearts of Oak top scorer Gilbert Fiamenyo has hit out at critics for calling him fat.
For him, his lack of goals should not be attributed to his physical structure as he considers it normal.
The striker, who started the season in red hot form, has seen his luck in front of goal desert him. He's failed to find the net since March 22, when he scored a brace in the league against BA United.
"Such comments sometimes irritate me."
"Why are some people like that? When the season started, I had this same structure but I managed to score eight goals for the club. Why didn’t they say that when I was scoring? I am not bulky as they say. That is my normal structure,” Fiamenyo said.
“We have a problem as a team which the technical team is trying to fix. So people should stop these comments. Emile Heskey and Adriano were all bulky but they played and scored goals so people should leave me alone,” he added.
Fiamenyo is yet to score in the second round of the league and will be hoping to break his deadlock when Hearts host Hasaacas in Accra this weekend.
