Former England captain John Terry is en-route to Dubai to meet his wife, after a week of allegations in the media about his private life.
A sombre-looking Mr Terry, who was sacked as England Captain last week, boarded a flight from Heathrow wearing blue jeans and a white hoodie.
The former England Captain has been given compassionate leave to spend time resolving marital problems with his wife Toni.
According to recent reports, she is willing to take him back as long as he agrees to rules on his behaviour.
The mother-of-two reportedly fled to Dubai following allegations of Terry's affair with lingerie model Vanessa Perroncel, the ex-partner of his England team-mate Wayne Bridge.
The Chelsea captain will miss his team's FA Cup match against Cardiff this Saturday.
Chelsea assistant manager Ray Wilkins said Terry discussed taking a break from club duties with manager Carlo Ancelotti.
"He will not play this weekend. Carlo is giving him a bit of time off but he will come back and prepare for our game against Wolves on the 20th.
"They just had a little chat, John and Carlo, and decided that would be the best for all concerned."
