ASC Linguene of Senegal on Saturday beat Kumasi Asante Kotoko 2-0 in their first leg preliminary qualifier of the Orange CAF Champions League at the Demba Diop stadium, Dakar.
The Porcupine Warriors conceded the two goals in the second half but things started going bad for Kotoko after Baffour Gyan was shown the red card for a second bookable offence after they managed to hold the home side in the first half.
The first goal was conceded following a corner kick converted by the home side through a scramble for the ball in a goal mouth melee while the second came through a defensive lapse at the rear.
The debutants were put on intense pressure by the Kotoko attackers but they managed to hold on to their score till the final whistle.
