The Cocoa Affairs Court has remanded in prison custody a man accused of making ‘criminal comments’ relating to the fire that gutted the Ridge residence of ex-president Jerry John Rawlings.
Nana Adarkwa reportedly said Mr Rawlings intentionally burnt his residence to make a case for another one to be provided by the state.
The accused was charged in court with publishing false information with the intension to cause harm to the public.
Adarkwa pleaded not guilty.
The court however remanded him in prison custody to reappear on 3 March, 2010.
