The Kade District Magistrate's Court, has remanded a 36-year-old driver, Kofi Danso, for defiling his biological daughter, aged 12.
His plea was not taken and he was to re-appear on February 23.
Presenting the facts of the case, Police Inspector Francis Cobbina told the court that Danso lived in the same house with his wife and daughter at Akyem Abodom.
On February 5, this year, while the family was asleep, at midnight, Danso woke up and sneaked into the room where his daughter was asleep and attempted to have sexual intercourse with her.
He was, however, caught in the act by his wife who questioned him about his conduct.
Danso told the wife that he was helping the girl with her home work and was also giving her some advice.
The wife, dissatisfied with his explanation, engaged him in serious argument.
The girl then disclosed to her mother that when she (mother) travelled last December, her father said he would teach her some styles she could use during in sexual intercourse in the future.
He then inserted his finger into her private part and followed it up with the penetration of his male organ.
The father then gave her a bucket of hot water to sit on to heal any wounds that she might have following the act.
The girl further told her mother that her father had sex with her thrice while she was away.
The mother, on hearing about the ordeal that the daughter had gone through, sent her to the Kade Government Hospital for examination and treatment.
The Medical Officer instructed that the matter be reported to the Police which the mother did and Danso was arrested.
