A clergyman has called on government to consider adopting February 28 every year as a day dedicated to God for redemption of the nation.
Apostle Prophet Enoch Immanuel Amanor Agbozo, Founder of Ghana Evangelical Society, a non-denominational evangelical movement, made the call at a press conference in Accra on Thursday.
He said "This day will be in honour of God for the election, reconciliation and establishment of Ghana as a chosen nation and redeemed people made Holy only unto Him.
Apostle Agbozo said the day, which was chosen by God in a vision to him, would seek to replace the "old Ghana, where sorceries, idolatry, colonialism and exploitation and military wrangling existed".
He explained that God chose February because it was a historic month in Ghana.
"February was the month in which the First President Dr Kwame Nkrumah was overthrown in a coup d'etat and the Christiansborg Castle crossroads shooting incident occurred", Apostel Agbozo said.Source: GNA
