The LEC Foundation, a youth organization committed to raising the next generation of leaders and entrepreneurs in Africa, will hold the 2015 edition of Success Africa in Ghana from October 10 to November 14.
This year’s Success Africa conference on the theme: “Igniting Passion for Excellence,” will explore how participants can be passionate about achieving a level of excellence in their endeavours.
A statement issued by Mr Emmanuel Owusu, Communications Officer of LEC Foundation said, this year’s event is being organised in collaboration with Tigo Ghana and other key partners like First Capital Plus Bank, CIM UK Ghana, Coca Cola, Philfry Vegatable Oil and SSNIT.
It said the resource persons will include Jesse Agyepong of Tigo Ghana, Apostle General Reverend Sam Korankye Ankrah of the Royal House Chapel International and David Ganesha of Cal Brokers.
The rest are Mike Nyinaku of Beige Capital, Dr Stephen Enchill of HMI Management Services Limited and the convener, Mr Albert Kusi, Executive Director of LEC Foundation.
The statement said over the past eight years, LEC Foundation had contributed to transforming the lives of over 50,000 young people through its annual conference; Success Africa, across the country.
It said the Success Africa is a motivational, career and entrepreneurship development programme, which creates a platform for young people to gain knowledge from the rich experience of diverse resources persons from various industries in Ghana to enable young people to make informed decisions on their lives for maximum and positive impact in society.
The statement noted that, this year, the conference would bring over 50 tertiary institutions to five different regional locations; KNUST for the Ashanti Region October 10.
The University of Cape Coast for the Central and Western Regions on the October 17; and the University of Energy and Natural Resources for Brong Ahafo Region on October 24.
The Koforidua Polytechnic for Eastern Region on October 31, the University of Development Studies- Tamale campus for the Northern Region on November 7; and the grand finale would be hosted at the University of Ghana on the November 14.
The statement said there would be workshops/breakout sessions on career development, digital, entrepreneurship and investment; and participants would undergo practical training at these sessions.
It said this year’s Success Africa is opened to all students in the various tertiary institutions.
It noted that all tertiary students within each region are invited to converge for the conference in the designated venues in the regions.
The LEC Foundation is a youth development organization with a focus on empowering the next generation of African Leaders and entrepreneurs with quality and life transforming information, aimed at assisting them to make informed decisions about their lives.
The Foundation has for the past seven years empowered young entrepreneurs and leaders in Ghana, Nigeria and Liberia through career development programmes like the “Success Africa”, “After school, What’s Next” and many others.
