Mr. Kweku Bedu-Addo has been appointed to the Africa & Middle East Management team of the Standard Chartered bank. He is currently the Chief Executive Officer of the Bank’s business in Ghana.
Mr. Bedu-Addo assumed additional responsibilities as Chief Executive Officer, Standard Chartered Bank West Africa 2 Cluster, comprising Ghana, Sierra Leone and Gambia, effective 1st October 2015.
Mr. Bedu-Addo was appointed in 2010 as the first Ghanaian Chief Executive of Standard Chartered Bank in its 119 year history in Ghana.
He has previously headed the Bank’s Corporate Banking business across West Africa (excluding Nigeria). He also headed a multimillion dollar global project based in Singapore and prior to that, headed the Bank’s corporate banking business in Zambia.
He worked in the Policy Division of Ghana’s Finance Ministry during the 1990s.
Mr. Bedu-Addo’s appointment to Standard Chartered’s Africa & Middle East Management Team is another first for Ghana.
Mr. Bedu-Addo joined Standard Chartered in 2000.
