Fire ravaged parts of the Tamale Industrial area Sunday evening, destroying properties and key equipment.
The inferno that started around 4pm left fire fighters struggling for hours to put it out.
About six fire tenders were brought in to battle the fire whiles police and military officers cordoned off the area to prevent looting, reports Joy News Correspondent Hashmin Mohammed.

Shops and warehouses located at the industrial area were ravaged by the fire that took hours to contain.
Kumasi-based Ultimate FM reports that a spare parts dealer at the industrial area, Mark Akuliga, lost wares estimated at several hundreds of Ghana cedis.
Every item on display in the shop including lorry tyres, car batteries, over 50 drums of oil and other expensive items were destroyed.
The cause of the fire is yet to be established, however, Hashmin reports eyewitness say the heard explosions before and during the inferno.
