Fire fighters from the Trade Fair and GNFS headquarters have put out a fire that started at the Koala Shopping Mall at Osu in Accra.
The fire was detected in the ceiling of the one storey building that houses one of Accra's most popular shopping centres just after 2pm.
Apart from the ceiling, nothing in the shop was destroyed and neither was anybody injured.
The incident drew a large crowd of spectators and built up a choking traffic jam on the Osu Oxford Street.
Shop owners are hoping to re-open the shop on Friday for normal business.
