Vodafone Ghana would hit Accra on May 22 with an extraordinary musical concert featuring current African artistes to mark its first anniversary.
A statement issued on Tuesday and copied to the Ghana News Agency said the musical concert would feature artistes like P-Square and D'Banj from Nigeria and Ghana's artiste of the year Sarkodie, Eazzy and Ruff-N-Smooth from Ghana.
The venue for the concert would be at International Conference Centre, Accra. Miss Uche Ofodille, Head of Strategy and Brands of Vodafone Ghana said in the statement that the concert would mark an exciting time for African musical synergies and cement the belief that Vodafone is a global brand with local roots.
"This is a clear demonstration of Vodafone's quest in connecting its international standing to our local operations in Africa, our belief in African musical talents and how they match up with music talents anywhere in the world" Miss Ofodille said.
According to her, Vodafone was rewriting what has become the norm with such concerts that usually feature western artists with this concert. She said Vodafone was demonstrating that what is African is beautiful, exceptional and unique adding that the "020 Concert" would be one that would be spoken about for a very long time to come.
Miss Ofodille promised that the concert would be one big RED night of celebrations with the best in African Music. She said Vodafone's entry into the Ghanaian market a year ago has been an exciting one with the breaking of new grounds in product and service propositions to satisfy their customers.
