An airport and a road are to be named after Nigeria's former President Umaru Yar'Adua, who died last week.
New President Goodluck Jonathan said the decision was taken "in recognition of his [Mr Yar'Adua's] contribution to national development."
The airport road in Abuja and the airport in his home state of Katsina are to be named after Mr Yar'Adua.
Mr Yar'Adua had not been seen in public since November 2009 and had both heart and kidney problems.
When Mr Yar'Adua came to power in 2007 he promised a long list of reforms, including tackling corruption and reforming the inadequate power sector and the flawed electoral system.
He made progress in banking reforms, but analysts say his greatest success was in tackling unrest in the oil-rich Niger Delta by offering an amnesty to rebels.
