The Ghana Pentecostal Council has condemned the recent agitations by foot soldiers of some political parties.
The council describes the growing trend as “youth activism gone wrong.”
In a statement, president of the council, Apostle John Annan Adotey, said the church is unhappy about the growing trend which is creeping into the church.
He cited the recent agitations by some youth of the Methodist Church and the desecration of the premises of Martyrs of Uganda Church in protest against the Metropolitan Archbishop of Accra, Most Reverend Charles Gabriel Palmer Buckle.
Apostle Adotey said their actions did not depict those of Christians and advised them to use laid-down church procedures to seek redress for their concerns.
Meanwhile, an opinion leader in Karaga is asking the youth to make better use of party structures in seeking redress for their grievances rather than antagonizing personalities in public.
Alhasan Sualisu Dandaawa says the desperate call by some youth to party executives to review a list of nominees being considered for appointment as DCE’s exposes the district as divided.
Alhassan Dandaawa tells Joy News, the media should give such baseless allegations a blackout.
