Cameroon's World Cup preparations took a blow on Tuesday as they were held 0-0 by Georgia.
The Indomitable Lions have less than three weeks before their opening game against Japan and appear to have a lot of work ahead of them.
They would have fancied their chances of securing a morale-boosting success in midweek against a side preparing to watch the action unfold in South Africa from the comfort of their front room.
However, Paul Le Guen's side lacked a cutting edge going forward and struggled to find any fluency.
Freiburg striker Mohamadou Idrissou was guilty of spurning the better of the chances which came their way, with two good opportunities wasted.
Debutants
The only positive on a disappointing night for the African nation was that those handed their international debuts put in a decent shift.
Goalkeeper Guy Roland Ndy Assembe, defender Jean Patrick Abouna Ndzana and midfielders Marcel Ndjeng and Patrick Mevoungou all featured for the first time and did not look out of their depth.
Le Guen must go back to the drawing board, though, with Cameroon set to get their World Cup campaign up and running against the Japanese on 14th June.
Holland and Denmark are the other sides they are set to face in Group E.
