The drama in Asante Kotoko has taken a different twist following bizarre images coming out of Kumasi on Tuesday morning.
At the club's training facility at Adako Jachie, David Duncan is seen alone awaiting the arrival of his team. Meanwhile, the players are currently at the Baba Yara Stadium being taken through their paces by the Michael Osei.
BACKGROUND
David Duncan was asked to 'step aside' in an official statement from the club on Sunday night after Kotoko were beaten 1-0 by Aduana Stars, leaving the Porcupine Warriors bottom of the table.
However, in an interview with Joy Sports on Monday, Amoah Larbi Barbados said his client does not understand what 'step aside' means. "If you look at the contract Duncan signed with Kotoko, there is no part of it that says he can be asked to step aside. You are either employed or not employed. So the club should make things clear to us."
As such, the coach believes that he is still contractually mandated to be in charge of the Kumasi giants, hence his presence at the training grounds where he can be seen arranging cones and other equipment.

Kotoko, unhappy about its place in the league, asked assistant Michael Osei to take charge of the first team. According to Joy Sports sources, the first players were informed on Monday evening not to be at the training grounds, but to train at the Baba Yara Stadium.
CONFUSION
All this drama has left Kotoko in even deeper problems. Joy Sports understands that the decision to ask Duncan to step aside was not taken with full approval of management and board members.
A crisis meeting is scheduled for Friday, according to our information. Meanwhile, as at 9am Tesday morning, the players were being led by MIchael Osei at the stadium.
