Ashanti Regional Circles Chairman, Obeng Sekyere, has confirmed the various National Circles will demonstrate this Friday to voice out their concerns about the decline of the club.
Kotoko have experienced one of the worst starts in the history of the club and the supporters union have laid the blame solely at the doorstep of the board and management.
“We have sought permission from the police to demonstrate on Friday on what is going on at the club,” Sekyere told Asempa Sports.
“The various National Circles will join us in Kumasi to demonstrate and send our petition to Manhyia.”
“Looking at the board and the management of the club, they have totally disappointed us with some of the decisions they have taken.”
“They have made decisions which have not helped the club in anyway. We met the technical body and the playing body to find out the main cause of the problems but we still couldn’t get any results out of the meeting we had, so the only way we can be answered is by demonstrating and send our petition to Otumfuo at Manhyia on Friday.”
“In football, you can lose at home, win away but in the case of Kotoko for the past two seasons, it has been really shambolic and it is really a problem for we the various circles and the supporters of the club.”
Kotoko’s next game is against Real 24 Hours FC in the MTN FA cup round of 32 fixtures.
