A farmer who allegedly defiled a 15-year-old girl and eventually succeeded in impregnating her, has been remanded in prison custody by the Akim Swedru circuit court.
Kwame Eshun denied having defiled the girl. He would appear again before the court presided over by Mr Kofi Akrowiah on August 27.
Police Inspector Kwaku Appiah told the court that both Mr Samuel Opong, the complainant, and the accused person lived at Akim Ofoase and that three months ago Mr Opong who is the girl’s father, detected the pregnancy.
Inspector Appiah said when asked, the victim mentioned Eshun as being responsible and therefore, Mr Opong made a report to the Police.
