President of the Mountain View Ghana Conference of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church, Abankwa Amoakohene says Ghanaians have a collective responsibility to ensure there is absolute peace before, during and after this year’s polls.
Pastor Abankwa Amoakohene has therefore appealed to the citizenry particularly Christians to guard against utterances or comments that has the tendency to degenerate into misunderstanding and negative reactions.
Pastor Amoakohene made this appeal in a sermon he delivered at the Mampong Zonal Adventist Singing Band Union’s 11th Biennial Singing Band Convention at Beposo in the Sekyere Central District in Ashanti over the weekend.
Speaking on the theme, "Reaching the world: The role of Adventist Singer” for the 6-day convention, he said though every Ghanaian aged 18 years and above and of sound mind has the right to vote, the exercise should be carried out without any interference.
The 6-day convention was attended by Singing Band unions from ten districts.
Meanwhile, Pastor Amoakohene has advised members of the union to let their songs match and reflect their daily lives.
