A total of 131,247 potential voters in the Brong Ahafo Region were registered during the voters registration exercise, from June 11 to June 20, this year.
Out of the figure, 62,563 were females and 68,684 males. The region has 24 constituencies and 2,382 polling stations.
Mr Samuel Boadu, Deputy Regional Director of the Electoral Commission (EC), disclosed this to the Ghana News Agency (GNA) in Sunyani.
In a breakdown, he said, 7,580 persons registered in Asunafo Municipality, 5,869 in Asunafo South, 7,063 in Asutifi, 5,210 in Tano South and 3,492 in Tano North districts.
In the Sunyani Municipality, 9,522 people registered their names, Sunyani West 5,900, Berekum Municipality 7,391, Dormaa Municipality 6,484, Dormaa East 2,737, Jaman South 6,962 and Jaman North 3,260. He said 6,733 people registered in Wenchi Municipality, 6,656 in Tain, 12,799 in Techiman Municipality, 5,404 in Nkoranza South, 2,455 in Nkoranza North and 5,623 in Kintampo Municipality, whilst 3,866 registered in Kintampo South, 5,567 in Atebubu/Amantin, 5,584 in Pru and 5,090 in Sene districts.
On the just ended voters exhibition exercise, Mr Boadu said out of the total voter registration of 1,221,033, only 67,207 representing 32.98 per cent checked their names.
