Takoradi Polytechnic has been nominated for the prestigious Golden Medal for Quality and Service Award by the Worldwide Marketing Organization based in France.
The award is in recognition of the Polytechnic’s excellent leadership skills, market positioning and communication strategies geared to produce all-round students to augment the manpower needs of the country.
Reverend Professor John Frank Eshun, the Rector of the institution, said the Polytechnic was selected due to its leading position in the sector of education as well as operational, managerial and communication efficiency.
The Worldwide Marketing Organization is an international organization that comprises prestigious entrepreneurs, diplomatic authorities, educational institutions, governmental organizations, marketers, communications specialists and executives of banking institutions dedicated to conducting market research, opinion polls and consumer survey links to the public.
Prof Eshun said, “the award indicates that the world is watching us from a distance and we must be committed and dedicated to what we do”.
He re-iterated the Polytechnic’s commitment to continue to create an enabling atmosphere that allows for innovation and dynamism in order to put the Polytechnic on a high pedestal.
Prof Eshun was grateful to the awarding institution for selecting Takoradi Polytechnic which is acclaimed to be the best Polytechnic in Ghana and the Sub-Saharan Africa. ”‹
