David Duncan engaged a journalist in a back and forth conversation over details of his contract with Asante Kotoko.
The coach has been asked to step aside from the club since matchday six following a string of bad results.
The former Hearts coach insists he is contractually tied to the club and has only taken a break in accordance with the club’s wishes.
Read a full transcript of David Duncan’s conversation with the journalist.
Journalist (J): Do you still have a contract with Asante Kotoko?
David Duncan (DD): I am tied contractually to Kotoko
J: So what next for David Duncan?
DD: What do you mean what next, because I don’t know what you mean by that and I am the coach of Asante kotoko
J: We know for now you are unattached?
DD: No, no, no!! you can’t say that, I have a contract and my contract has not been terminated.I am still the coach of Asante Kotoko.
J: So are you still the Coach of Asante Kotoko?
DD: Do you know otherwise, do you know something otherwise that I don’t know? Do you know something that I don’t know?
J: No
DD: So that presupposes that I am the coach of Kotoko, do you know anything contrary to what I am telling you. No I am asking you, do know anything contrary to what I am telling you?
J: No
DD: So then I’m telling you as such
J: Any wishes for them
