Ghanaian coach Fred Sosu has been appointed coach of Togolese side Étoile Filante du Lomé.
The club name translates as "Shooting Star of Lomé" are known locally as "The Meteors".
Sosu, who has been tasked to return the glory days of the Togolese giants has signed a season’s contract with the club.
He is upbeat about the task as he feels he is clearly up for it
"Giant clubs must be for the best managers, and I think I am ready for it."
"I prefer to forget the past years, I prefer to focus on the giant club I have in my hands now and I think what the fans are expecting me to say is I want to win," he told Sports Avenue 1 on Asempa FM in Ghana.
“My main target is to qualify the team back to the top flight.”
“I am determined to work hard for my employers as well as maintain my good track record.”
Coach Sosu won Pepsi Tournament with the Liberty U-17 in Nigeria as well as qualifying the team for Divison 2.
He also coached Amidaus and Okwahu United.
