Ghana midfielder Kwadwo Asamoah is eyeing a return to the Black Stars after a long spell out of the team.
The versatile midfielder has been plagued by injuries for the past 18 months forcing him to miss games both for Ghana and Juventus.
He has already missed the whole of 2015 with the Black Stars, a year where Ghana lost narrowly to Ivory Coast in the final of the African Nations Cup but with the 2017 edition a few months away, Asamoah is eyeing a return to the national team fold.
“For the Black Stars, I am ready to come back. I have spoken with the coach, the President and most of the people at the Ghana Football Association,” he told Joy Sports.
“I am hoping to come back strongly and join the team. Just that for the past one year, I have not been playing consistently so I will be very happy to join the team as soon as possible.”
“If everything is good, if there is no injury, I will be happy to join the team.”
Kwadwo Asamoah has been tipped to join his former boss Antonio Conte at Chelsea.
