The Kumasi Circuit Court Four has remanded three people for allegedly stealing a cow belonging to a farmer.
Ibrahim Issaka, also known as Anyias and a security officer, Osman Fuseini, driver, and Mohammed Yini, a driver’s mate, denied charges of conspiracy and stealing.
They would re-appear on Friday, November 12.
Police Chief Inspector Seth Nana Amofa told the Court, presided over by Mr Justice Emmanuel Astu Lodoh, that the complainant, Alhaji Sibrilla Madugu lives at Asokore-Mampong whilst Issaka resides at Mempeasem with Fuseini and Yini staying at Sawaba, all suburbs of Kumasi.
On October 24, at about midnight, Alhaji Madugu detected that one of his cattle was missing.
The prosecution said the complainant’s own investigation traced the theft to the three, who had killed the cow and ate the meat.
Police Chief Inspector Amofa said Madugu made a formal report to the police who arrested Fuseini and Yini.
The two told the police during interrogations that Issaka led them to commit the crime and he was also arrested.
