One of Ghana’s leading insurance companies, GLICO General Insurance Company, has presented a year’s insurance package worth thousands of Ghana Cedis to Miss Stephanie Karikari, winner of the just-ended Miss Ghana beauty pageant competition.
At a short but impressive ceremony held at the company’s premises at Airport, Accra, Tuesday, the Business Development and Marketing Officer of GLICO, Francis Kelvin Ofori said his company was very glad to associate its brand with the pageant and was hopeful that the relationship will go beyond Stephanie’s reign.
The package includes a Comprehensive Insurance Package for the beauty queen and the car she won as Miss Ghana 2010 for a year.
Mr Ofori said the gesture was part of the company’s corporate social responsibility. He also implored the beauty queen to remain with GLICO, even after the contract expires in a year’s time.
Stephanie on her part thanked the management of the insurance company for their kind gesture and promised to be a good client, uplifting the image of what has over the years been known as Ghana’s leader in the provision of insurance services.
