Former Chief Executive of Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly, Kojo Bonsu, says it is the the National Democratic Congress (NDC), and not any other political party, that holds the key to Ghana’s development.
He says this is evidenced by the many projects the Ashanti Region, in particular, has seen under President John Mahama in four years. He said NDC's achievements in four years is better than the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP)'s eight years in power.
Mr. Bonsu was addressing party supporters at the Bantama Constituency NDC campaign launch in Kumasi.
The former Mayor of Kumasi cites the Kejetia-Central Market Redevelopment Project, satellite markets at Asawase, Old Tafo and other places.
Minister of Water Resources, Works and Housing, Dr. Kwaku Agyemang Mensah, also touted NDC’s performance in health and water supply.
The surprise aspect of the event was the resurfacing of sacked former Deputy Minister of Communications, Victoria Hammah.
Ashanti Regional Deputy Minister, Andy Osei-Okrah, officially introduced the campaign team.
Deputy Minister for Water Resources, Works and Housing , Samuel Adusei, who is also NDC parliamentary candidate for Bantama, leads the charge.
