President John Evans Atta Mills has appointed Mr Ken Kanda, Director of State Protocol, as Ghana's Ambassador and Permanent Representative to the United Nations.
A statement issued by the Office of the President and signed by Mr J.K. Bebaako-Mensah, Secretary to the President, said Mr Kanda would assume duty on Tuesday, March 1, 2011.
Following Mr Kanda's appointment, President Mills has directed that Mr Kwame Tenkorang-Asamoah, currently Ghana's Ambassador to Japan, should be appointed Director of State Protocol with effect from Tuesday, March 1, 2011.
