A Welsh campsite is offering an alternative celebration for people wanting to escape Royal Wedding fever.
The Balchder Cymru campsite, near Powys, will stage an 'Escape the Wedding Camp' weekend from Thursday, April 28, until Sunday, May 1.
Organiser Adam Phillips, from Mold, told the Daily Post: "We're organising a get-together - not everybody is over the moon that these two are getting married.
"Just imagine the amount of money that will be spent on security. They should be paying for the wedding themselves - not working class people.
"From the start of this, the media have only given one side about William and Kate's wedding. We are organising this celebration as a distraction and a lot of English people would feel the same as us.
"I spoke to somebody in Mold who mentioned a street party on April 29 and was gobsmacked when I asked him: "Why would you want to celebrate this?"
"Our Escape the Wedding Camp is open to anybody from all over Wales or England to come to."
Balchder Cymru is described as "a riverside camping site with loos, showers and hot and cold water".
A Clarence House spokeswoman said: "Other people are allowed to spend their time any way they want. We basically wouldn't want to comment."
