Singer and international musician Bibie Brew has created a unique platform dubbed the New Morning Arts Café Theatre to unearth talents and also teach upcoming artistes.
Bibie disclosed in an interview with Hitz Entertainment News that the centre which has been her dream for many years was created some three and half years ago to give young talented people a platform to train and express themselves.
“…It’s a little centre [created] to give young people an opportunity to have a platform to train and express themselves and to have their own venue, to be at ease and watch their fellow artistes on stage rehearsing because I think we need an infrastructure…”
“…I always dreamed about this that if I come back to Ghana, I think that will be the best thing for me to do to express my appreciation and also contribution for the arts…,” Bibie explained.
The centre has over the years hosted several artistes and personalities, both known and unknown who have in-depth knowledge about music, instruments, poems etc.
These artistes, she said have graced the New Morning Art Café stage and interacted with young acts in many ways to enhance themselves and their career.
She indicated that such platforms and centres are very necessary so that young talents do not have to wait for reality shows to come up before they can be discovered.
The multi-talented Bibie who has graced international stages with her repertoire of music disclosed that she has introduced a new quarterly drama programme which will start on February 26th.
Bibie Brew who is also a vocal coach, song writer and an author has over the years been a judge on several reality shows including Stars of the Future and Project Fame West Africa.
