The League Champions Aduana Stars edged out Cape Coast Abusua Dwarfs in the on-going MTN FA Cup round of 34 games at the Robert Mensah stadium in Cape Coast.
The match, which ended goalless after 90 minutes of regulation time was decided on penalty shootouts by which Abusua Dwarfs lost 2-3 to the visiting team.
The win is seen as a big relief to coach Herbert Addo, who has come under tremendous pressure over the club's early exit from this year's CAF Champions League as well as the club's poor performance in the Glo Premier League.
In another game played at Tarkwa, Mideama Sporting club also thrashed Liberty Professionals 3 nil to advance to the next stage of the MTN FA cup round of 34 games.
